We started the year 2025 with a bang! At our traditional New Year’s potluck, we treated ourselves to 30+ international dishes, all prepared by our lab members with a huge portion of diligence and love.
From American mac and cheese to Gado-Gado (Indonesian veggie salad with spicy peanut sauce), Sarma (Turkish rolled vine leaves), Pismaniye (Turkish cotton candy), Skagenröra (Swedish prawn salad), Kässpätzle (Swabian cheese noodles), Marillenkipferl (Austrian pastry), Cenouras Algarvias (Portuguese carrot salad), Köttbullar (Swedish meat/veggie balls), and even zucchini cake, we indulged to the fullest.
The evening was rounded off with an interactive bingo session and a fun movie quiz, with the first prize being a MicroOrganoLab hoodie.
The whole team is looking forward to what’s to come in 2025 and is excited about upcoming events and, of course, scientific progress in the year ahead.
