Dr. Andre Rosa
Senior Scientist
Andre earned his degree in Applied Chemistry from Nova University Lisbon. In 2009, he was awarded a fellowship from the Graduate Program in Areas of Basic and Applied Biology, which enabled him to pursue a PhD at University College London. His doctoral research focused on cell shape changes during mitosis, using Drosophila as a model organism.
During his postdoctoral work at the Max-Delbrück Center, Andre's research centered on the mechanisms that regulate cell migration required to achieve a functional vascular patterning through the use of Zebrafish and organ-on-chip models.
Later, Andre joined Asgard Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, where he contributed to the validation of their lead product, AT-108—a novel immunotherapy designed to reprogram cancer cells into dendritic cells within tumor organoids.
At MicroOrganoLab, Andre is involved in project management amd the development of immunocompetent organ-on-chip platforms, with a strong focus on cancer models.
In his free time, Andre enjoys kayaking, cycling, playing the guitar, and practicing photography.
