Delisa Niravkumar

MSc Student

Delisa is a physician researcher currently enrolled in the MSc Stem Cell Medicine program at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. She completed her MBBS and Master of Medicine at Bukovinian State Medical University in Ukraine in 2023, gaining clinical experience in oncology, intensive care, and emergency medicine. It was during her time as a clinician caring for cancer patients receiving immunotherapy, that she became motivated to understand why some patients respond to treatment while others don't, and this question drove her transition from clinical practice into research. She also completed a Certificate in Stem Cell Medicine at Harvard Medical School in 2025.

Her scientific focus lies at the interface of stem cell biology, cancer immunology, and microphysiological systems. At the μOrganoLab, she will be working on the Thymus-on-Chip project contributing to generate naive CAR-T cells from haematopoietic stem cell precursors outside the human body.

In her free time, Delisa enjoys cooking and travelling.
