George Ekwebelem
MSc Student
George received his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria, in 2023. After his undergraduate program, he worked as a biomedical engineer at a medical diagnostic company where he got experience in medical equipment maintenance, installation and repairs. In 2024, he started his master’s program through the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Biomedical Engineering (EMMBIOME) program across three different universities in Serbia, Greece and Romania.
His passion for microfluidics and Organ-on-a-Chip system led him to pursue a graduate internship at the Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia where he was introduced to PDMS chip design and fabrication. At the μOrgano-Lab, he is working on the development, computational modeling and characterization of the organ-disc system.
In his free time, he enjoys watching football, travelling, playing video and board games, and cooking.
