Harivignesh Ganesan

MSc Student

Harivignesh first joined the MicroOrgano Lab last November where he worked on the human Amniotic membrane to use it as a scaffold to culture Retinal pigment epithelium on a chip. He is currently doing his master's in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience at the Graduate Training Centre for Neuroscience, University of Tuebingen.

Currently, he is working on the neuroinflammation-on-chip project with Lisa-Marie. His master's thesis covers optimizing parameters allowing for longer culture time on the chip by testing different hydrogels iPSC-derived neurons and glial cells in co-culture.

In the sparse free time that is left after his uni and other commitments, he likes to go to the gym or just go for a walk in the city with friends. He is also an amateur cook and loves cooking for his friends whenever he's got time.
