Caroline Culp

PhD Candidate

Caroline graduated with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in the United States, completing her Bachelor's in 2022 and her Master's in 2023. She conducted her Bachelor's thesis and Master's thesis research in the Tissue Engineering & Microphysiological Systems lab. In her Bachelor's thesis she focused on designing multi-organ microphysiological systems for the modeling of cancer cachexia and the movement of inflammation. In her Master's thesis she focused on the development of biological membranes for integration into retina-on-a-chip models.

She joined the Loskill Lab in March 2024 as a PhD candidate focusing on the advancement of the Organ-Disc system.

In her free time, she likes to play Ultimate Frisbee, cook, and shop at flea markets.
