Chiara Capitani

Visiting Scientist

Chiara holds a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Florence (Italy), where she completed her thesis project at the Imperial College of London. She then worked in the lab of Prof. Arcangeli with a scholarship for six months before starting her Ph.D. at the end of 2020. Her current work revolves around breast cancer, ion channels, and recombinant antibodies as novel therapeutic tools. During her three-month stay at µOrganoLab, she will study the interactions between 3D organoids of different tumor cell lines and the effects of antibodies on them through a microfluidic system.

In her free time, Chiara likes to help her boyfriend take care of the plants on their rooftop balcony, travel, read, and play the piano.
