Dr. Deniz Irvali

Postdoc

Deniz has a Bachelor and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul. She completed her PhD in Biochemistry at the Ewald Lab at University of Tübingen.
The scientific focus of Deniz is cell cycle and metabolism using tools such as microfluidic cell growth platforms, fluorescent microscopy and live cell imaging on a single cell level. Deniz is currently involved in inno4vac project, that aims to investigate cervical mucosa on a chip for future tests of vaccinations. Additionally she is involved in several Microbiome projects at IMIT.
In her free time, Deniz enjoys watching movies, going to concerts, travelling and swimming.
