Gyuntae Bae obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at Northumbria University where he mainly focused on recombinant DNA technology to genetically modify plants and bacteria. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Technology at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. In internships during the program, he investigated the endothelization of bioactive materials, vessel-like structured alginate scaffolds for iPSC-derived endothelial cells and metabolomic analysis on malignant ascites using 1H-NMR spectroscopy at Universitäts Klinikum Tübingen for thoracic, cardiovascular and vascular surgery and Werner Siemens Imaging Center (WSIC), respectively.
He joined the Loskill lab in April 2022, as a student assistant to help with chip fabrication for the imSAVAR project under the supervision of Ibra.
