Suhyun Kim

MSc Student

Sunyun is currently in a Master's program in biomedical technology at the University of Tübingen. She received a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Yonsei University in South Korea. During her Bachelor's program, she evaluated the anti-cancer activity of natural compounds and the biological relevancy of autophagy. Prior to joining the MicroOrgano Lab, she interned in the Werner Siemens Imaging Center at Tübingen University, supervised by Dr. Christoph Trautwein. There, she worked on an NMR-based metabolomic analysis of the murine NAFLD model to investigate metabolomic changes according to insulin sensitivity.
She joined the MicroOrgano Lab in March 2022 for the second internship of her master's degree and is currently focusing on imaging methods for quantification of insulin sensitivity in the white adipose-chip under the supervision of Madalena.
In her free time, Sunyun enjoy visiting new cities, hiking, singing, and cooking with her friends.
