EUROoCS 2022 was a great success, with a participant count of nearly 500 people, all meeting in Grenoble, France. The event spanned over two days of intense discussions, four parallel tracks with topics covering (multi)-organ and disease models, organoids-on-chip, read-out assays, standardization and qualification, among many others. A key takeaway of the conference was the recognition and discussion around standardization and validation of OoCs with the intention of the principles of 3Rs (reduction, replacement, and refinement of animal testing).
We are especially proud of our team members for taking home a number of awards:
Elena Kromidas was awarded the Best Poster Award, for her poster about ‚Patient-specific Cervix-on-Chip for disease modeling applications‘
Tengku Ibrahim Maulana was awarded the Best Talk Award, for his talk on ‚Breast tumor-on-chip applicable for efficacy and safety assessment of CAR-T cell therapy.‘
Shreya Gudi and Varun Chopra were awarded young researcher travel grants to attend the conference.
We look forward to the next meeting in Berlin, in 2023.
