Recently up in BioRxiv, Julia’s paper reveals a detailed in vitro model of white adipose tissue (WAT) with autologous cellular components. In addition to mature white adipocytes, this chip includes an endothelial cell barrier and innate immune cells like adipose tissue macrophages. This chip could provide insights into patient-specific therapeutic development or disease modeling.
