Dr. Hui-Yu Liu

Postdoc

Hui-Yu received her master's degree in animal science from National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei. She focused on stem cell research as a staff scientist at NTU. In November 2015, she moved to Germany to pursue a Ph.D. at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) where she established novel methods for early cancer detection in microfluidic chips by using nanolithographic technologies.
In 2022, she joined the Micro-Organo Lab as a post-doctoral scientist, and primarily works on the inno4vac project, focusing on investigating cervical/nasal mucosa on a chip for future tests of vaccinations.
In her free time, Hui-Yu enjoys watching movies, traveling, and going hiking with her husband and lovely dog Duo Duo.
