For this years Science Retreat the MicroOrganoLab stayed at Schloss Hohenfels. The team enjoyed two days of great scientific exchange including project presentations and brainstorming sessions. As a special guest Dr. Effie Bastounis, junior group leader of the Interfaculty Institute of Microbiology and Infection Medicine in Tübingen, joined the event and presented on her work investigating the interactions of host cells with bacterial pathogens.
A visit to the Pfahlbauten open-air museum in Unteruhldingen & a BBQ complemented the time and gave space for further exchange.
