Dr. Christopher Probst

Postdoc

Christopher studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. He received his Diploma of Engineering in March 2011. Main focus of his work was the development of microfluidic chips for the single-cell cultivation and analysis of industrial microbial production strains. In his PhD thesis, he continued his work on creating microfluidic applications for single-cell analysis of microbes at the Research Centre of Jülich. In 2016, he joined the Organ-on-a-Chip group as a postdoctoral fellow. Currently, Christopher is working on developing next generation Heart-on-a-Chip systems as well as new modular approaches for the establishment of multi-organ chips
